

My tower, Rohn HBX56, installed Nov. 16th, 1990.
On top sits the Tennadyne T-12 log-periodic-dipole-array beam. 60 feet up, installed on Feb. 9th, 2002.
A YAESU G-1000DXA does the beam turning and (hopefully) holding it, installed March 10th, 2002.
Each leg is grounded to a 9ft. ground rod thru a 2/0 welding cable (which has been tested by a direct lightening strike in 1994)
The anchor base is 7 x 7 x 4.5 ft. thk., 4.5 Cu.Yrds. of 5/8" rebar reinforced concrete, with tower anchor embed legs made of 4" channel iron 3.5ft long, with 6 x 6", 1/2" thk. steel anchor plates welded at the bottom. (All built by me.) Approximately 9500 lbs of concrete & 300 lbs. of steel rebar.
